Considering we hadn't played for 2 weeks we started fast. Not rusty at all. Good all round performance by the team.
NZ will be soooo tough, but of course we can win
PS. I'd just love it if Ireland could beat NZ, but I can't see it

No joy for the French after that fool got himself binned.

Au revoir.

Half time and the Japs are continuing to light the competition up with their brilliant brand of rugby and their crowd are great too.

Stupid foul by the French forward very probably cost France the game. Gattlin sportingly admitted that the best team lost.
Japan did well and played exciting rugby, but they don't quite have the power yet to match their speed and creativity.
So
England v NZ
S Africa v Wales

NZ pass the ball better, and faster than the Aussies. I've no doubt we're capable of giving them a very tough game, but I do worry, that if we go in with the same defensive tactics and try hitting them on the break, like we did Australia, next weekend could be very chastening.

It'll take something of a miracle for England to get to the final.

Not quite as bad as that, but NZ do start as favourites in any match they play.

The beauty of sport, there's no given, however unlikely an upset, on occasion it does happen. It's all on the day; form, mindset, rub of the green, bounce of the ball, referee, injuries, discipline, tactics, taking a gamble, fitness and stamina, there's many a variable.

A NZ v SA final is on the cards, but Eng v Wal just might happen ! :)
