I see that Guy Branston has had his say on Paul Tisdale this weekend

After Exeter City’s impressive 3-1 League Two win at Carlisle United last weekend, I noticed that Paul Tisdale felt the need to justify playing Arron Davies, normally a midfielder, at right-back.

Paul has had a bit of stick lately, in the media and from fans, about players being used out of position. I think people need to remember that Paul runs the team, and he has earned the right to do things his way.

Paul can’t and won’t be dictated to by fans. He has been plying his trade as a coach and a manager for a long time, and he knows what he’s doing.

I reckon the supporters and the rest of his critics should leave him to it. Who are they to challenge him?

Admittedly, the Grecians have not been consistent lately, but maybe Paul is already planning ahead for next season.

Maybe he knows that the Grecians are in no financial state to cope with being promoted this season.

The people who pay his wages? Sharpest tool and box spring to mind.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
ridiculous comment at the end. we probably would struggle in L1 but if you got the chance you would still try to take it. he makes it sound that the recent poor run was deliberate.

Of course, Branston omits to mention he's on the SJP payroll as a youth coach.

That aside, the logic of the final two sentences is completely beyond me. Is he suggesting that Tis is getting in practice for an inconsistent campaign next term and did he not hear we bagged £1.75m for Matt Grimes?!

I'm afraid that will have to stay missing. It wasn't.
