I was just extolling the virtues of the old cowshed (still the most beautiful stand in the history of Football IMO) to my wife earlier. Wow how SJP has moved on since!

It's good to see the away end tidied up and covered. But, my goodness, it looks tiny by comparison.
Size matters......

If you rent out a flat in Saint James Road and one in the top floor of the new student block you can switch flats at half time to get a view of each end :)

Away end does have a bit of a bike shed look to it but:

It has a roof
It's better than what was there before
It's not just about the actual structure but all the groundwork etc at that end
Beggar's can't be choosers
It's still SJP

Which firm painted the cantilever thingys on top of the BB and IPOS? How did they get up there? Looks good from above. Great photos btw, thanks a lot (y)

If i had to agree with you we would both be wrong
Probably the same guys that were painting the back of the Doble in the harness a while ago.

You go me on the alarm clock
It must be all the more satisfying to know that this has happened off the back of the fruits of YOUR labours.

Not some bozo injecting equity through loans, not some gun runner from Paraguay doing their financial laundry, but the fans of Exeter City who stuck by their club and facilitated the things that happened at the club which enabled this.
Well said SotC and completely agree!

Is the right answer, they are a firm of specialist structure painters from Plymouth who also work on such things as high bridges etc.

A couple of other improvements to SJP being undertaken or in the pipeline but are not so obvious;

A new and vastly improved CCTV system.

Astro turf to be placed on the areas run on by Linesmen to prevent excess damage to the edges of the pitch and improve appearance. It may even improve their eyesight!

Some great pics on here (y)

I got to see the away end with me own eyes yesterday and one thing noticed was that because the toilets and tea hut are behind it, the stand is quite close to the pitch which should help the atmosphere.
