Played "M" in Bond films i think, St Trinian films, Many Comedy films too and War films as well, Great career but I'd never had guessed is name. Also a staple on British TV in the early days.

26th September 1976.

A Shot In The Dark(1964) the second in The Pink Panther series.

Earlier The Big Match featured a Division Two game Fulham v Hereford, which showcased George Best & Rodney Marsh with all their trickery. Fulham won 4-1
It’s often forgotten that Hereford reached the 2nd tier of English Football after only 4 seasons in the Football League. They finished bottom but only four points behind 17th place Fulham, only being relegated on the penultimate week of the season.

I remember the first series of The Troubleshooters was called Mogul which was largely boring office based stuff. More action after Series 1 when they revamped and renamed it.

I think Geoffrey Keen played the Minister of Defence in the Bond movies when M was played by the equally excellent actor Bernard Lee.

The two actors look a bit alike.

26th September 1981.

The first Game For A Laugh was broadcast. A format of practical jokes & stunts played on the unsuspecting.
It was light early Saturday evening viewing, running for 5 series(60 episodes)
A LWT production for the ITV network.
