Not for me. Thought he was comfortable in possession, distribution good and took his opportunities to burst forward. Defensively good too. Pity he didn't score from his early chance. Poor old Sparkes had a mare though.
Yep, that's two on the bounce for Jack. He needs to sort himself out before Chieck is back or he will be watching games from the bench.

I thought their formation with effectively two No 10's in Chaplin and Harness gave us a big problem in the first 20 minutes. They both had a freedom to roam and exploited the space in front of our back three and late running in behind which the back three found difficult to pick up. We didn't know whether to send a centre back out or for the midfield to drop deeper. The midfield did drop deep then isolating the front two who couldn't deal with the long balls played forward because we were so deep and pressed quite well.

By the time we kind of sorted ourselves out we were chasing the game and looked unsure of ourselves for the rest of the game. Against sides like Ipswich we need to be really on it and trusting in our tactics. It's the first time we seem to have been caught off guard a bit.

Being on the back foot so much wasn't the day for Nombe not to be starting up front. If we are getting good quality possession into the final third then you can get away with Jevani and Stanno up top. But really any combination of one, two or three man attacks need Nombe in them ideally.

Blackman played very well today , it could easily have been 5-0 , he looks like he’s shifting a bit of timber , be amazed if he’s with us next season .

Watching from the left hand side of the Big Bank (as you look at the pitch) I thought he should have done better for the opener. However, seeing it on tv I changed my mind. Funny how a different angle gives you a completely different perspective.

Why didn't we get a penalty shoot out at the end of the game? Or does that only apply if you lose an FA Trophy match?

Ipswich did their homework to perfection on us though. They knew we were dangerous on the wings ,especially with Sparkes and they completely stifled our game.Knew that we were error prone at the back,so we're patient in finishing us off. They got lucky with our team selection up top.We simply didn't have enough bodies in that area pong enough to give Ipswich something else to think about other than their gameplay.Possibly if Caldwell had given Dieng instructions to push forward more often before Nombe came on,we might have had another story to tell.
