A bit of COVID era msm panic mongering with the power cuts story yesterday I thought. Stating that you’re planning for the eventuality doesn’t mean the risk of it happening is anything above the level of very low.
Absolutely. Playing to the doomscroller gallery.

I've seen stories about a £20 pint of beer, ebola pandemics as well as bird flu spreading to humans, nuclear war, power blackouts...and, perish the thought...mortgages at 5% interest.

Crikey.
Who'd have ever thought of Rees-Mogg as a closet socialist, preparing a de facto "re-nationalisation" of the energy market?
The shrill hysteria of the industry giants about the likely defenestration of their tame so-called "regulator" would be amusing were the actions of their cosy cartel not so devastating to so many.

Bearing in mind current polls could Lord Snooty even be preparing to try and "cross the house" to save his precarious seat I wonder? 🤣

Good idea. I like to be able to take my coat off in a more leisurely way and stay dry when it's chucking it down.

Bulb Energy bailout has cost the taxpayers £4000 per customer so far,£6.4bn & rising.

Failed energy suppliers have added another £230 to every household bill.

A absolute scandal, that was buried in the small print of the Autumn Statement.

Unsurprisingly King Coal is back.
Imports of thermal coal for the last 3 Coal Fired Power Stations on the grid have doubled in 2022. Stockpiled just in case of the expected squeeze on generation in the coming months that will inevitably mean more use than would usually be planned.

Imported mainly from the US & for the first time Mozambique ! which is now the 2nd largest exporter of coal to the UK
