Not exactly "energy" related - unless you count the calories released by digestion - but..?

If this is true
Why aren't the prices for our Xmas veggies plunging down? (After all, whenever a "shortage" is created the producers and retailers are quick enough to ramp the prices up?)
So they're happier to plough them back into the ground rather than grab a little cashflow - which they generally claim is desperately needed.
