I see C4 are showing the "Wagatha Christie" courtroom fight in a two part drama just before Xmas, C4 started showing trailers for it last night.

Exactly, Those trailers will be shown so many times and sadly it'll probably be one of C4's highest ratings of the year.

Luckily there are very, very few programmes I watch on C4. Shame, as when it started it had brilliant shows.

The nicknames are typical of a male group environment of the times. In my depot we had a Judge, Spanner, Sheriff, Dicky Mint, Turkey, Elmer, Yak,Yak to name just a few.
I’m sure we’ve all known a ‘sick note’ especially in the days back then when you need one for any thing over 3 days. A young fella from North Tawton had that moniker.

The 4th series of It Ain’t Half Hot Mum starts, the last with Michael Bates, who would pass away from Cancer in January 1978.
He had already been written out of the 1976 series of Last of the Summer Wine.

TV Times this week 1985.

Comedian Jim Bowen(1937-2018) presented Bullseye for its entire original run 1981-95. Part of the fabric of UK late Sunday afternoons for most of that run. 1st series was on a Monday, last 2 on Saturday afternoons. Still pulling in 10m viewers at the end.

Tony Green the Darts Commentator was the voice of Bully’s Prize Board...”Keep out of the black & in the red, nothing in this game for two in a bed”

Usually someone from a inner city area won a speedboat....Or as Jim would sometimes say “ Look what you could have won”
