I really wish that refs would stamp out this shirt holding. It's only crept into football because refs have been told to 'let the game flow' for television. That's rubbish. If refs enforced the rules, then it would stop. Simple as.
As for the six & two threes argument - give it to the attacker.
The same applies to 'cuddling' in the box. Give a few pens and, again, it would stop.
As for time wasting . . . don't get me started!
Bleddy hate shirt tugging me  even though Sweenz is a skilled practitioner of the dark art and I bleddy love Sweenz. :)

Several years ago a Premiership ref had a go at stamping out shirt tugging. It might have been Steve Tanner. Sadly MOTD commentators failed to support him saying its all part and parcel of the game and tolerances need to be allowed for it. Blah blah. Might have been Shearer among them.

I also detest the holding, mauling and pushing and shoving at corners and set pieces.

I’m going for a positive 3-0 win in front of a packed out SJP!
Only half this post is inaccurate

I can see if being a hostile atmosphere the longer we go without scoring, so I hope that I'm completely wrong.

Bring it on ! Are you expecting Gloucestershire Old Spots winging it over SJP rather than pesky gulls "dropping messages of love" on the seats then Al ?
