With a squad of 26 to choose and no Rashford selected who can cover centre forward, I would be surprised if both Ollie and Toney were not selected. If you take three specialist keepers then, with three additional spots, surely you would want three specialist centre forwards. I would think it will be more the wide forwards that will be cut, there are five selected, six if you count Foden.

Good job his court case has been delayed again till next year then. Greek justice is up there with the Josh Key tribunal for dragging its heels..

Would have been a major shock to not be in the provisional squad of 30.

Still, Gareth not picking Henderson and Rashford are signs of optimism!

And would have been even more surprising not to be in the provisional squad of 33, which is what has been announced. That's 7 players to be culled when naming of the final 26 man squad. Plenty of water to flow under the bridge yet...

Yes I realise it was 33. Initially they said Southgate was going to announce a squad of 30, not sure where he got the extra 3 from.
Still, 7 to go which is probably two 'strikers'. I suspect that Anthony Gordon will be one, I would hope that Grealish is the other, considering how little he has played for Man City lately.
