I refer you to #92.

If only my homophonic skills hadn't deserted me at the death...
It must have been a dessert spoon.
(although good to lay it on a plate eventually)
Yes I read it........🤯

Very tenuous jump made from ‘tweet ‘ to ‘to eat‘ , presume read as ‘treat ‘.
If this is just the run up , goodness knows what the actual quiz questions will be like.

No - it's a homophone and tweet sounds like 'to eat'.
It rhymes with but doesn't sound like 'treat'.

Swanaldo did say early on that homophones were the way to go.
Or was it the 'waiter go'? (with spoons ready) :devilish:

Bleddy hell. How the hell can you get to that from a bee keyring.🤕
I read Spoonz answer and Swanaldo's response and hey I get a tap in 😁

This never happens with the real question.

Right , slippery one that. Still going to be a helluva quiz though if the questions are that tough.

They are not going to be that tough unless I can persuade Swanny to take on the QM mantle.

Beaky ring > Bird call is the tenuous bit for me. God help us if Swanny ever gets in the hot seat.

Agree on the tenuous bit.

I think Swanny was QM years ago. LOG might also have been acting in a consultancy role.

I didn’t do very well 😥

Tenuous or not I must admit I quite enjoyed playing around with those homophones once Swanny had given the tip that it was the method to employ.

At one point I had got as far as 'beaky leather' and was pleased to discover City had once had a player called Bulcock ..
