As an aside, in neither game did we appear to get stronger the longer it went on.

Collectively, it’s not been obvious that fitness has been an issue for us this season so, on the face of things, it seems a little odd to adopt a radically different approach.

Haven’t caught up with the fans’ forum yet, was this something GC spoke about?
And yet, in the previous 2 games, we scored very late goals.

Our squad is so paper thin we need a minimum of 4 new reinforcements
in January .
Lets hope we can get on the front foot and not wait until the final
day to bring them in.

In interviews Gary Caldwell has said he thinks training practice should be as intense and competitive as per playing an actual match.
In an interview Matt Grimes said the reason he struggled when he first joined Swansea was because he couldn’t cope with the intensity of the training. When Matt Jay was asked by David Earl what was the difference between City’s players and those in the Championsip and Premiership Matt highlighted fitness and athleticism as the major gap.
It took Grimes more than 2 seasons to be able to cope. Is Caldwell expecting to get results from the players in weeks or is he going to run them into the ground?
It is a worry that the new manager is maybe trying to change too much too soon when we were doing pretty well already. For me, arguably the best performance of the season was Barnsley when Kevin Nicholson basically followed the Matt Taylor template. If I was in charge, I would be looking to play that formation and style of football as often as possible and using the January transfer window to add strength in depth not bring in radically different types of players.

And that's before we lose any players.

Shocking mistake from Cheick and Dieng looking horribly pedestrian for more than one goal.

Agree with your comments
Definitely need sorting out
Let’s see what January brings
We all knew we had a tough run of fixtures but certainly need something on Friday at Morecombe
Morecambe is shaping up to be a huge game. If we don't win, it could be 2023 before we win again given the fixtures we have coming up in December.

Dear Gary: FFS sort the bloody defence out and cut out the stupid mistakes we seem to be making every five minutes. It’s no use us crying over Stubbs, sack him off and get someone in who can last more than twenty minutes before disappearing for the next six months.

We really are a joke of a club at the back.

Far away across the field
Well, that was an awful watch.
