We've got all the players to play direct and play quickly. Hopefully we do it more often next season because a lot of our good results have come in these types of games.

Cox will rightly get the plaudits but I thought the second half was possibly as well as I've seen Carroll play for us and it was noticeable that Bolton only really started to create chances again after he'd gone off.

Enjoying all the comments on earlier pages in this thread about how shit we are and how we’re doomed after 30 minutes of football. Goes to show it’s about the 90 mins

It turns out Bolton aren't like Brazil and if you put a tackle in and compete physically they might just be a better than average league one side.

Turns out if you play the ball forward, quicker and more direct you'll create some chances.

Turns out if you play like that the crowd will back the team and some atmosphere will be generated.

Two brilliant finishes by Cox and despite not being able to hold on the crowd appreciated the effort and clapped them off.

An utterly bizarre game. First half we showed absolutely no ambition whatsoever. We didn't even look like we wanted to attack Bolton's goal and were more than happy to sit in our own half. Their goal came about because Aitchison had to try and hold the ball up for about a year until he had an option but got knocked off it.

No-one at half-time saw Cox coming with both barrels.

From then on Bolton looked a bit rattled and from looking like a side who wouldn't score in 17 matches against them, we could have had three or four.

Then from the jaws of victory GC snatched a glorious draw with some odd substitutions. Again.

Caldwell out.

Sounds like you're saying it was a game where you could split it into two 45 minute periods which were very different from each other.

Great point, well done Gary and the boys!

Beautiful second half, could have won it but draw probably fair result.
