I think you're all going to have to get used to seeing this. You're all making the assumption that the decision to go is a managerial and not one the player is making. Our kids get on our conveyor belt at nine years old and then spend the next fifteen years with us. Unless we are able to take them on to the next step, ie The Championship, it is only natural that they will want to test themselves elsewhere. It's almost a bit like your own kids wanting to fly your family nest, a time that is inevitable.
Some will leave and we will make a substantial sum of money from, some will leave for nothing but go and make a decent fist of things for themselves like Jacko has at Pompey and some will leave and fall by the wayside as seems to have happened to Matt Jay at Colchester. Thems the breaks for both us and the individual.

Loving the boy Stanno
Correct Ian, Hartridge leaving is a good case in point. He wanted to leave last summer but it was refused.

What's the story FBH? Did he ask to go or did we turn down bids for him?

So sad to see Kite fly off and leave St JP. I really wish he had more opportunity especially in the centre of midfield. Always liked him as a player.

Why not? Can't see it making any difference to the club or to them.
