    Sheffield Wed (h) Discussion Thread

I won’t get back in time to see the England game but choosing between Exeter City and England is an easy decision for me.

Great work Grecian-on -Tyne. Interesting to see which teams are letting most people down. MK Dons seem to be the team causing most damage to our predictions at present.

Good luck and safe journeys to all those fans who will be suppporting City at the match. I admire the fortitude of people travellling that far in December for an evening kick off. We have some amazing supporters.

Oxford Utd v Exeter City : FAC 2nd Round : MDT

I agree with this summary. So many players out of sort at the same time. In Josh’s case he seemed more out of place on the left rather than out of place by being upfront. Our set up with Jevani on the right and Josh on the left meant that we were less likely to get crosses in from the byeline.

Oxford Utd v Exeter City : FAC 2nd Round : MDT

Just setting off. We used to be a jinx team for Oxford - hope that applies today. Easiest away fixture for me to drive to, but possibly the worst for getting away from after the game.

Exeter City vs Ipswich Town match day thread

On the whole I thought Ipswich were effective and fair but strong tacklers, but the three tackles you mentioned looked to be deliberate attempts to inflict injury. Not a coincidence that they all happened after the ball had been played and the ref was presumably focusing on where the ball was going.

If the ref had given it, but I don’t think they would have overruled that decision whichever way it went.

I hope you are right. Round 4 would represent dizzy heights for us.

Not sure that Sign of the Chimes will be happy with your suggestion that MK Dons might still be in the cup in January.

    SJP capacity

I didn’t realise it was so close to completion. Very convenient for me. A pity that Reading have adopted a style of football where they play sideways most of the time.

    SJP capacity

The wider urban area is more relevant for Reading - there is a much larger population close to Reading than there is for Exeter. No station near to the ground, although one is planned. A nightmare to get away from after a game.

The two Devon teams will be the most difficult journeys for Peterborough fans, so this will be near the top of their games to avoid, especially for fans who are trying to cut costs.

Best to check first. In my batch of tickets today’s game is pdf 9, not 10. There seem to be different numbers for some batches of pdfs.

Not much to separate the two teams in the league in recent years. Would be happy if there was nothing to separate the two teams today. Replays against a well-supported side helped the finances last year. Just hope we don’t rely on a last minute equaliser from our 6th substitute.
