    Ed James

Yep, Tivvy's run of games recently have seen them play 2nd, 4th, Champions and now the most in form team in the division. Tough run when you are fighting relegation. Really looking forward to Ed v Joe O'Connor tonight.

    Ed James

Hopefully will get to see Ed play tonight as Dorchester are at Tivvy (fifth time lucky to get the game on!). Interesting move to extend his deal over a year before it runs out, shows a great confidence in him. Might we see some more in the next few days?

    Harry Kite

And Purrington can fit in as a LCB in a three as he has this season. I'm not saying Harrison is definitely going to make it, and it is more difficult for him as Bridgey says as GC likes his wing backs to be more wing than back. I only really brought Harrison up as an example of a midfielder...

    Harry Kite

Under GC he would probably be more likely to play RCB which he is capable of. He is a very strong lad.

It's exactly what has happened with Harrison King who at u16's played as a midfielder but has been converted to RB/RWB since. Harrison is very similar to Harry in terms of how he plays, so we will have to see if he can translate that to league football if he gets the opportunity. A lot of injury...

Did she field at second slip next to Geoffrey's Mum at first?

    Harry Kite

Plenty of sides in L2 and maybe even L1, depending on the club, who will like a box to box midfielder with an engine to get up and down. Harry just needs a bit of a break with injuries which meant he never fully established himself in the starting XI. He should have a good pro career and that is...

    Caldwell out?

This is year one really and the exciting part is we have only really set the base. We all know where improvements can be made. It's now about keeping on recruiting well (in the main), keeping on developing the younger players and keeping on developing our effectiveness going forward.

Harry Kite and Will Dean in the u21's, one of my favourite midfield pairings 🙂

    Pedro Borges signs pro

Always worth remembering the amount of seemingly unsuccessful loans Joel Randall had. Yet as soon as he got a chance in the first team he never looked back. I suspect Pedro will get another outing or two this season. Then it's about coming back in pre-season and hitting it hard.

    Caldwell out?

It is every season. FGR, Morecambe and Accy were all pants last season. MK not much above pants.

Joe did what was needed when he came on to see out a big win for Tivvy over the champions.

Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

2-0 down at half time in an end of season game, with a bit of a makeshift lineup, against a team with it all to play for and we come back and win 4-2. That deserves great credit to the players and staff for their desire and professionalism. It certainly shows a togetherness between the players...

    Loan watch 2023/24

Joe O'Connor on the bench for Tivvy today. I guess he has had another knock or niggle as Tivvy could have done with him before this week. They have their three best players missing today against the League Champions Chesham and are in deep relegation trouble.

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Over time he did albeit in a different era. He took over from Bruce Rioch very early in the season (via caretaker duties for Stewart Houston and Pat Rice as he saw out his contract in Japan) and was able to bring in Patrick Viera and Nicolas Anelka that (transfer window free) season to add to...

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Ultimately it is down to the Rovers board who made the appointment. Changing managers mid-season who play a different style of football will almost always be difficult to implement quickly. The new manager will have a squad not only used to playing a different style but also assembled to play...
