So why is it on a City thread largely given over to players who play for City and Finland? More relevant on the regular BBC threads given over to sowing discontent between the home nations..
City have had many more Welsh players who have contributed to the clubs history than ever will be the case for Finland..so the comment is indulgent in the extreme…
As I said, Osborne is going to have walk away with little or nothing..600k to the bank can be managed. However, if there is HM revenue debt it might become tricky..Also depends if the council wants or can help..
I feel there is a chance for Torquay. Assuming the owner realises he’s going to have to walk away with little or nothing, there is enough interest to be cautiously optimistic…
This is the response of the Peterborough Chairman on the rumours of a large sell on clause for Ivan Toney..
“Complete misinformation, it even had me double checking the contract just now and the sell-on clause. Nobody pays £10million for a [League One] signing and pays 30 per cent sell-on… nobody."
A cursory wander through Mr MacAnthony’s known UK assets might suggest otherwise. However, as he is an Irish national it’s difficult to know what hides under the carpet there.
I have no idea either way, and it may well be that Peterborough do have “a budget that dwarfs ours” However, as nobody seems to know what our budget is, I’m amazed that everyone seems to know what Peterborough spend. 🤔
He's been with the club a long time..Initial expertise in performance analysis..No obvious outside experience in the identification of talent, but if he does his homework and develops a range of contacts then no reason he can't do a good job..
Could be, but not always...The coaching staff have "control" over the product and if that product doesn't allow you to win games then that's all that matters...
Makes no difference..The only calculation at the end of the season is how many points you have and whether this keeps you up or sends you down..The cliche about performance being the important thing is just that..a cliche..
Statement of the obvious, but I think we need to see how they fit in..On the face of it Eisa has a decent chance, but he's been hit and miss in recent seasons and you have to wonder why MK Dons have seemingly given up on him..No idea on the guy from Halifax and Woods is again a bit like Eisa...
For sure, if you’re prepared to criticise when things are going wrong, then it’s only reasonable to acknowledge any sign of things changing. However, as Ant says, you would like to see another win or two in a run of fixtures that looks on the face of it, pretty brutal
Saw him play a couple of times for Aldershot...He is a great big lump (not very mobile) but would give us a bit of physical presence..If the fee mentioned is anywhere near correct I would be surprised. Orient a more likely destination (East End boy)
I guess we will find out as the end of the month approaches, but GC seems to be engaged in the time worn political practice of smoke and mirrors. Announce a couple of inconsequential contract extensions, in the hope that this will divert attention from the fact that that little else is happening..
