I wasn’t aware of this, although I’m not entirely surprised. I presume that you have some inside information, as I don’t think it’s been made public by the club yet.

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

On that basis there wouldn’t be many teams left in Lge 1: there are many more clubs making similar losses.

    Reece Cole

I like Reece, a lot, but if any of those clubs offer £500k, I’d take it like a shot.

Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

Indeed, fantastic stuff. & I'm delighted that this one is 10 mins+ again, rather some of the Away Days & 360's which haven't been so long.

    Reece Cole

& isn't that looking an even better bit of business now! That said, I loved Sam when he was here & wish him well next season, apart from the 2 games v us.

Agreed, but in fairness, I seem to recall Taggy saying that Aston Villa behaved very well and paid a fair price with regard to the transfer.

Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

It’s less than one half, so I don’t want to make too much of it, but how in the hell was Pedro struggling to get game time at Gloucester City, or wherever he was on loan? Looks a real player.

    League One - 2023/24

Indeed it is. I see Bristol Rovers have just announced a £4 million loss. It goes on and on. Most of these clubs lose more than we actually spend, yet we still manage to compete against them.

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

That’s a real hatchet job on MT by the current incumbent. Rovers v Rotherham could be an interesting game next season.

    Jake Richards

Agree, he played well in a No.10 role , when I think his more natural position is as a 6. He has good physicality for one so young. The important thing is to now get him signed up. If we do, I’m not sure what we do with him next season: use him as a squad player, or get him out on loan to...

I hadn’t noticed this until you pointed it out, but he was clearly agitated about something and Kevin Nicholson had to pull him away eventually.

    The Serious Torquay Thread

Having looked up the posts mentioned, it looks like you were ahead of the game on this one. If so this is frightening, but I don’t hear the TUST making much of a noise about it. They should be absolutely screaming.

    Millenic Alli is a Grecian!

In addition to this, we need to remember that in his time up to now he’s been predominantly used as a winger. GC obviously sees something in him that makes him believe he can become a centre forward. So not only does he have to get used to playing a couple of leagues higher, he’s also learning...

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Agee; almost certainly would have been targeting the play offs as apparently they had a top six budget. So they have done poorly this season whereas we have clearly exceeded expectations.
