I'd describe him as a merchant banker.

You are all overrhinking it. Spoonz' long list of homophones was an unnecessary journey, he just happened to get off at the right stop.

The only homophone needed was 'a leather bee'. Red E as a leather bee. Simple innit.

*awaits lynch mob*

Shit idea 👍
I agree but I have come up with 30 questions of a homophone genre.

Chuck in the days reserved for closed pubs and obscure street names in small Devon villages this might not be your year of glory after all fred.

There is one question that has survived the quality review that I think you might like mind.

God help us if Swanny ever gets in the hot seat.
He often was! :) He used to win it every year.

Red E as a leather bee > Ready as I’ll ever be

As a precursor to the quiz and a clue about how you’re feeling about it, I have concluded that, sir, you are a genius.
Or the rest of us are idiots

Having escaped the Swanny Terror competitors might like to try this one.

It was lined up as a quick fire question but has been chalked off by the Quality Control Panel as not fit for purpose

No workings will be required for QF rounds of course.
