As someone who closely follows the club he supports I think Tom probably meant "interesting to know" rather than "need to know".
Maybe Antony & Joe should draw up a list of things we "don’t need to know" and get the mods to ban discussions on those subjects.
If Joe had followed any of those links in my post he would see the club regularly informs us of contract expiry dates.

Once we are safe hopefully very soon I would certainly give one or two of the younger players a few minutes in each game
Leave out the players we don’t want next season or refuse to sign new contracts

Actually agree with this, although I think it'll be a while before we are mathematically safe and would we want to throw youngsters in against the top teams in the division?

Admittedly it was only a brief cameo but Harry Lee seem to cope ok with playing in front of over 24 000 people at Derby.

Going OT but speaking of being mathematically safe, perhaps the greatest thing GC could do would be to field an entire matchday squad of Academy graduates. I think, given we regularly start with seven or eight, we wouldn’t be on the end of a proper tonking, and it might well be the first and only time a team in the top four divisions - if not the entire professional footballing world - fielded such a side.

Also, if we did manage to avoid a right pasting, I suspect it might be something that not only the sporting media but mainstream media too would be making a massive thing over.

I think Crewe have already fielded an all academy side haven't they?
