In the time between our last collection on 6th June and today, we've amassed 16 dumpy bags full of cans, which by my 'guestimate' could be in the region of 650/700kg. As always, a huge thank-you to all contirutors, Ruth, Francis, Steve, Time Piece & The Devon Yeoman to mention but a few of the dozens who have help make Cans4City the success it has become.
Great effort everybody utc

In an attempt to raise the atmosphere here on EXEWEB for a few moments, this is what Cans4City has made this month, July 2023.

Yesteday's collection amounted to a 'very respectful' 1740kg, this was a mixture of 16 dumpy bags of crushed cans and a few 'other' bits and pieces of Aluminium, which realised a very respectful £1210.40 plus £127.75 in Recycling credits for ECCT, so a grand total of £1335.15. Which, considering that the recycling price of Aluminium has dropped slightly, makes July 2023 a real BUMPER month.

As part of Cans4City spending this month, July 2023, we have made a donation towards 1 of the new benches for ECCT to place in their courtyard/garden. We have also completely funded a bench, to go with the two on show at the Family Fun Day recently, as part of a further 3, it is i think, purchased by ECFC for Red Square making 5 new benches in total.

Yea very good sat there in the sun drinking a pint of thatchers money well spent 👍 are we going to get any more ?? Utc
That is an ECFC issue, i suspect it'll depend on available space in Red Square. They are certainly solid, that's for sure, no chance of being blown away in the wind!

Was the 'money well spent' refer to the benches, the Thatchers or both?
