I was on a DD which overpaid how much Bulb thought our energy usage would be. I was thinking about asking for some money back at Easter but Putin put paid to that, s I just let it ride. I now have a DD £60 a month less than before.
We were offered a DD reduction, and also thought about reclaiming some of our hard-earned credit, but with that supine waste of space of a "regulator" still determined to help the companies in the energy sector to further boost their already obscene profits by sending the so-called "cap" ever further northward felt it most prudent to hold the money in reserve. Let's face it, next summer's enegy bills are likely to still be higher than last winter's.

Kerchings all round 💰🍾💰 (and doubtless a nice cosy little number as an "advisor" for Mr Brearley at one of the energy giants once he's done his "public service" stint at Ofgem)

You can afford electricity......
Wow
As long as the wife pedals fast we seem to be able to produce enough to get the blanket going.

Blimey, keep fit at the same time. Impressive. And of course she keeps warm pedalling whilst you can snuggle under the blanket.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
The insanity of it all..Burning biomass(wood pellets imported on huge diesel guzzling ships) is classed as renewables despite being highly polluting.

Like G2K we turned down a sizeable reduction in our monthly DD that Octopus offered us and we’ve chosen to cut our usage dramatically and build up some credit in case this clusterfeck drags on.
We’ve even opted into the Octopus once a week ‘saving sessions’ where in return for switching everything off for an hour around tea time you get a small amount off your bills. We use the time to either walk the dog or have a mindfulness hour sat in the dark! 😁

How are you getting along with the electric throw tavy? We’ve got quite fond of ours now , cozy under there letting the world go by!

P.s It’s all a laugh really , all these lovely electric run gizmos , tvs , iPads , laptops and a house with a score of radiators in it and afraid to turn anything on ! Welcome to the twenty first century.

When daughter comes home for the weekend we often find ourselves fighting over it, which is silly as we have another one still in its packaging! 🤣
To answer your question it’s been a joy to be honest, we only have the CH on for a couple hours in the morning and the rest of the time it’s been very comfortable. It’s a ‘lovely heat’ as the saying goes. 👍
