Entertaining match, particularly second half. Stand out performances from Collins, Atangana, Sparkes, and A Martin.

What was most impressive was how we dug in as a team, we weren't losing that one.

I gather this is the first time we've come from behind to win a game this season?

Cracking effort 💪

Very good and important win.
First half they tore us apart at the back, they looked good, big strong and very inscisive in their passing. Was surprised we equalised as we were on the back foot most of the half and looked bereft of ideas up front. Somebody close said that Williams hadn't done much, well he was silenced when he was involved in all our goals. In the end it turned out Northants failure to pick up Williams from the corner was their downfall. Beautiful cross from Sparkes for our third. Up the City!
Shame those boys have to go all the way to Hartlepool this week. Send the kids

Performance of the season against a well drilled Northampton Team- Going a goal down then pulling it back and for once scoring when we were on top in a purple spell of 20 Minutes or so in the 2nd half - lots of good performances Big Nigel gets better with every game.
People should also get off Ryan's back he brings far more to the game than goals and was unlucky with two good efforts today.

Good win for city,Northampton are a decent streetwise side and will be up there at the end of season, city showed character and toughness and there were some good goals in that game by both sides and we came out on top.we managed the added time very well which isn’t pretty but I can’t imagine we would ever have been that streetwise under the previous manager,oh and argiggle lost as well so all in all a good day UTC!

Was thinking that it will be hard for Jake Taylor to get back in. Atangana seems to offer a lot more creatively in midfield.

First half we played their game too much. Bowman and Fisher played with their backs to the goal and got involved in a physical battle. Second half they both attacked the space in behind their defence and stretched the game giving Law, Williams and Sparkes the space to play in backed up by Collins and Atangana.

Thus on the front foot we made the most of it with our two goals. The Aaron Martin goal came about through Chris Lines not doing his job. He cut out Williams twice with the same corner after he beat the first defender but this time was asleep. Quality cross from Sparkes for the third which was begging to be headed in and the Fish didn't disappoint.

Could have had a fourth before they got back into it, but we then saw it out professionally in injury time. Martin was immense from defensive corners today, but man of the match I thought was Atangana closely followed by Collins.

Interesting the change in approach by both Bowman and Fisher that you mention in the second half Rosencrantz. Was this deliberate maybe on orders of MT at H/T or do you just think the game gradually changed and they both got more into the space?

Did we create a lot of chances for the strikers?
