whilst looking through a football book about old grounds in the football league it stated that Plainbore once hosted a plymuff gargoyle league match in 1961 due to plymuffs ground being closed due to "crowd trouble " ,can you enlighten me to why this happened ? were the pasties late being delivered ? was anderton and rowlands fair parked up on home park and locals fighting the pikeys ? surely you ,as the voice and be all and end all of torquay fc, can shed some light ? as you spend hours trawling the net for FACTS ! to bore us sh*tless with perhaps you could spend your leisure hours doing something useful ? many thanks in anticipation !

Feb 11th 1961 versus Huddersfield, bottle thrown on pitch at Home Park.
Ground closed for 1 match
May 18th 1961 versus Ipswich played at Plainmoor.
Ipswich won 2-1 att 9626.
Ipswich won division 2 that season, and went on to win div 1 the following season, under Alf Ramsey.

They played Brazil once though AND they have a wonderful Cathedral AND they own their own club (it might be crap and small, but it IS theirs).
