Okay, I've Googled this now...Do a search “Premiership player rape allegation” and you will find it all.
I have been to a match with 60,000 + in attendance. The alleged rapist was playing for the away team and got a bit of stick from the home crowd but nothing to get excited about.
His Club clearly had no problems, moral or otherwise, in selecting him to play and he had a good game.
Seems the player in question hasn't yet been charged with anything – at this stage, there's merely an investigation ongoing. Think it might be difficult, legally, for the player's club to suspend him in those circumstances.
