I watched the boxed set of the Italian Job last night.

Original 9/10 quality film, with some brilliant driving and it's funny as well.

New one 5/10 not so good although Charlize Theron.... :p Still some good driving and the storline isn't bad.

I haven't seen a film in the cinema since the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel, which was very disappointing.

Hoping to catch the new Christopher Guest film, "For Your Consideration" this weekend.

I want to see the last King of Scotland, but my wife isn't sure as its supposed to be very gory at the end. Anyone want to give it marks out of 10 as a goryness rating?

'Poseidon' on DVD on Friday night (8/10). Typical disaster yarn: big wave hits ocean liner and tips it upside down. Gallant survivors have to get to the bottom of the ship (now the top) to get out. You've seen the original so know what it's all about anyway.

The night before I saw the remake of 'The Wicker Man' (7/10), which this time is set in NW US with Nicolas Cage in the Edward Woodward role. Good remake IMO, with some bits here and there to make you jump, plus a fairly gruesome ending. Alas no cavorting Britt Ekland though.

Last film seen at the flicks: 'Pirates of the Caribbean 2' (9/10) - thoroughly enjoyable waste of a couple hours with some top action.
