Will be interesting to see what happens to FGR now. It's been a great ride for them, Vince wants to back them and they have a new stadium to come in theory. Will they still justify that in non league?
Shame in a way as it was a nice local trip and we had some great games against them.

The 3 promoted clubs are all backed by considerable personal wealth, certainly more than ECFC. And although nothing is certain, they seem to have a long-term focus, not just the "here today, gone tomorrow" chancers that some other clubs have been hurt by.

People on here will say (whenever City lose) that we should be bigger than Wrexham, Stockport or Mansfield, but money doesn't lie. We aren't.

I don't think we have ever been bigger than either Stockport or Wrexham in the literal sense, irrespective of division, both of those clubs have much bigger potential than us. Wrexham also have a sizeable history. Prior to both clubs collapsing, I am pretty certain they both spent a lot more time in higher divisions (I am sure someone will show I am wrong here) and getting considerably higher crowds than us. Both clubs also appear to be backed to the hilt atm.

League one won't be as simple for either of them though, some huge clubs in league one. Both will lose a lot of money, but have potential whilst losing that money to consistently compete in the top half of league one, with pushes towards the playoffs.

Mansfield are just a small club with a rich owner. They will just lose loads of money in league one and largely struggle more years than not.

Doncaster up to sixth tonight as it stands…Would like to see Barrow bumped out of the playoffs on Saturday now

City's recent revival has been fantastic, but Doncaster have done even better. Somebody must have started a "McCann Out" thread ...

@haka Incredible change in fortune….They’ll certainly have the much lauded momentum going into the playoffs if they make it

MJP_Doncaster started that thread.

Not massively dissimilar to our run under Tisdale that year we where bottom at one point.
