Brilliant result, thought Germany were the better side for much of the game but England toughed it out and finished the better side. Well done everyone involved!
I think one area that English football will need to catch up on Germany, and it will inevitably anyway as it is an aspect of the professional game, is physicality and outright fitness. They are a very good team with very good players as are we but their pressing, strength and energy was a higher level.

It says a lot about the organisation, mentality and talent of our girls that they won this game. The first goal was outstanding play by Keira Walsh and Ella Toone. It was the same against Spain. We found a way to win by solid defence and organisation allied to talent going forward that has goals in them.

England were tiring dramatically in the final ten minutes to the point I thought they were going to die on their arses in extra time. Fair play though, they dug in.
