He must have been on work experience at the time of reffing this gameRoger east was referee who went on to ref in the prem!
Or that horrible little tw@t Ward that went on to play for Sheffield Utd that chopped Deano into five pieces the night we got stuffed at 6-1 at home by Chesterfield. It was still 0-0 at the time and would have completely changed the game.I still haven’t got closure on the Accrington player (Cavanagh) tackle on Chris Todd back in the Conference that was only a yellow card!
He was rubbish at that level tooRoger east was referee who went on to ref in the prem!
It was Tully he assaulted, not Deano.Or that horrible little tw@t Ward that went on to play for Sheffield Utd that chopped Deano into five pieces the night we got stuffed at 6-1 at home by Chesterfield. It was still 0-0 at the time and would have completely changed the game.
That was right in front of the old grandstand. I remember it clearly, Ward was the target of derision from the crowd for faking an injury. Seemingly outraged, he steamed in shortly afterwards with a knee-high, double-footed lunge at Tully, who saw the attack coming and managed somehow to jump out of the way. Ward only escaped a red card through Tully's agility. It was Tully he assaulted, not Deano.
If he'd got Tully a red card would have been the last of his worries but more a spell at Her Majesty's leisure such was the ferocity. That was right in front of the old grandstand.
