From the youth games I’ve watched he plays very wide, much more like a traditional winger than Wheeler. Obviously we don’t play like that atm so is hard to see exactly where he fits - bit like the Coley situation. He also appeared to be very left footed which is no bad thing.
His profile on the Club website says he can also play left WB. But they said the same about Watkins in the early days...

Coley is a winger and always will be.

What's he like in the air? Sounds like he could become a David Wheeler type wide player?
He has potential to be decent in the air because of his height but at the moment it used much more as Josh Key than Wheeler, IE it's an option to look wide away from the opposition CB's. What Josh and Nelson lack that Wheels has is aggression in the air.

Must admit to being surprised given he didnt set the world alight at Tivvy last year. Would have thought something like Bath or WSM may have been a better step for him. Not sure he will get that much game time at Torquay

He came on in the 58th minute and off again in the 71st minute so presumably injured rather than being awful.

I too am a bit surprised he's got a loan at National League level. Hope this means he still gets plenty of game time (and isn't injured!)

Meanwhile a bit too much cut and paste on the website announcement? See the ending 'good luck Alfie'
