How many of that team that day would get into today's line up .............. only Gow and Wheeler
Fast forward and assume the players of that day were as fit and well drilled as today;s.

Difficult if not impossible to compare realistically teams with a back 4 to today's formation. I'd rather have Cole and Woods than Jimmy K and Oakley, for sure.

Wheeler definitely, Gow maybe but he was too inconsistent, none of the other forward players.

But if we played with a back 4 - Baldwin, Aimeson or Diabate, Jules, Woodman would be a decent shout.

summed up his time with us nicely there sturtz 3 goals in 29 and retired after we released him :)
Actually his first goal for us was an own goal, the defender and big Sam both dived for the cross, the defender got there first!
So 2 goals!
