An interesting game.....
Those court reports are quite funny. Wolves fan fined 90 quid for stealing a bottle of milk, a lot of money back then!

Somewhere in an old scrapbook I've got more press cuttings from that time, including the Exeter Weekly News. Sample headline: "Unmask the Boys Who Are Out For Blood".

The tabloids secretly enjoyed the hooligan problems of the era, it sold newspapers.

I suspect the magistrate was ****** off about having to come in on a Sunday to administer the justice.

The bloke who went to the game with a wheel brace !

Colin Garwood on the Grecians radar in December 1979. Garwood eventually signed for Aldershot for £54,000.

1927/28

A very good season for the Grecians after a few years of struggle. 4th round of the FA Cup going out to eventual winners Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park after a replay.

A team on the Wirral. Local rivals were Tranmere Rovers.

A rare picture of Exeter City Reserves who played in The Western League for many years.

This photo I’m guessing is from around 1974. Unfortunately the line up names in the photo are wrong.
Cec Smyth is 2nd from left on the top row.
David Brown is top row 2nd from right.
Graham Weeks is bottom row far right.
Duggie Tootell is bottom row at the left end. I remember him when I stated school In Dawlish. He was in his final year.
