In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Anyone who knows me will know I love a bit of football nostalgia from the 1970s & 80s primarily.
I will start this off with a Division Two game from Feb 1975.I can remember watching.
A great part is the Steward in a white butchers coat(Southampton also had stewards in that attire) putting off the penalty taker 🤣🤣

Incredible save from Jim Montgomery from Peter Lorimer in the 1973 FAC Final(Leeds v Sunderland)
It fooled the great David Coleman who announced 1-1

Justice done with the penalty, it never was. Brilliant save by John Burridge.

A wonderful FA Cup Semi Final at Maine Rd in 1977.
Recently shown again on BBC1.
A real classic, the short clip does not do the game justice.

Not so much old matches but just the theme tune,
. Much as I love MotD this is the best football theme tune of the lot.

Loved the 1974 World Cup even though England were not in the 16 teams that qualified, which included Haiti,Zaire,East Germany & Australia, plus of course Scotland who were very good side in those days.

Currently watching on Sky Sports 1 a documentary on Arsenal winning the 88/89 season which culminated in that game at Anfield. Probably the biggest match on ITV until that point.

Love the pitch. One of the last goals Jimmy Greaves scored in the 1st Division in a goal leaden career.
