It's no coincidence he's looked better since Gerrard left. Hopefully he regains the form that saw him get called up. The WC has obviously gone, but he's still got enough time left to make the euros if he kicks on.

We are all biased with regards to Ollie being in the England squad. He absolutely shouldn’t be, form and much better players than him is the reason why he won’t be going to the World Cup.
Current form for whatever reason maybe……much better players mmmmm.

Even if he plays a blinder, right now the following Strikers/Forwards are better than him and/or in better form:

Harry Kane
Callum Wilson
Ivan Toney
Marcus Rashford
Bukayo Saka
Phil Foden
Raheem Sterling (bang out of form but will go, never let England down)
Jack Grealish (bang out of form but will go, carries a threat regardless of form)

Might have missed a couple.

only 3 of them are strikers tbh.

But hey Gareth doesn't fancy him, not sure he does Toney either, so he ain't going, think Abraham will.

We play 3 forwards, 1x number 9 and 2x wide forwards. Kane is obviously a guarantee, I think Wilson, Toney, Rashford and Abraham are scrapping to play second fiddle to him.

Saka, Grealish, Foden, Rashford (could also play 9) Sterling, Sancho, Watkins and maybe others are fighting for the wide areas because there is no way Watkins is anywhere near Wilson, Toney or Rashford right now as a 9.
