As an aside, in neither game did we appear to get stronger the longer it went on.

Collectively, it’s not been obvious that fitness has been an issue for us this season so, on the face of things, it seems a little odd to adopt a radically different approach.

Haven’t caught up with the fans’ forum yet, was this something GC spoke about?
I don't think its a fitness issue for individuals, rather it's a symptom of our lack of squad strength. With 5 subs now allowed, teams with better quality on the bench are using those players to keep the tempo high. Oxford used 4 subs before the 64 minute on Saturday (plus a fifth in the 86th min) as an example. How many times have we made 5 subs in a match this season?

How many times does this have to happen. It would NOT of been Arsenal at home. We’d be a completely different number!!!!
there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that if we’d of won on saturday we’d be playing Arsenal

The change the numbers for the league Cup, but the FA Cup is fixed. The winners of the first tie pulled out will be number 1 in the next round, for example. Its the same every year. So we would have been at home to Arsenal

If a butterfly flap can start a hurricane, a City win over Oxford could have caused the balls to come out differently.
