Until the next time. Only on Friday Jeremy Hunt said people weren't interested in this story and Sunak only last week said he had "Full Confidence" in Zahawi, As you say Banksy, What a shower!
And what are the NHS workers, teachers et al, taking from all this ? Hardly blame them fighting for their own corners.

Of course not, But Don't look here, Look over there and be outraged! This is a Government that is slowly running out of steam, Very similar to John Major's one back in the '90's, Totally aloof, Think the rules don't apply to them, Make sure their mates are ok and sod the rest of us.

Zahawigate has followed the usual pattern. The outcome is nearly always inevitable

The accused denies, deflects and obfuscates In an effort to save his worthless, sorry arse. And in this case goes heavy and calls in m’learned friends to threaten the accusers

Colleagues including the PM give him their ”full support “

The drip drip of further damning facts goes on

Some of his more thoughtful colleagues peel away and call for him to stand down

The accused is given the The Elbow and blames the media

The Diddy Man should have seen earlier that this matter needed an urgent and independent investigation and has made himself look rather foolish

However, a bigger black mark for Bunter who appointed Zahawi as Chancellor despite being warned of the big HMRC red flag. Yet a lot of people still call for his return

This is depressingly familiar as it's what happens constantly.

Never really understood why the papers (bearing in mind they don't sell much copy anymore) never go all in. It's not like the politician or the public don't know they're being played.

Whilst I'm in a moaning mood. Why is politics the only job you get sacked, but stay in your job? It's ridiculous.
Not always the case, constituents can in some cases remove a sitting MP through a recall petition. Although not sacked from government, Chris Davies MP, a Tory expenses fiddler, lost his job in that way.
