Still can’t decide which I prefer, I think Jevani’s just about…

... but I don’t think GC quite shares the same gung-ho attitude of his predecessor.
Gung-ho? The manager you loved so much? Max I've seen smoke on a breezy day change direction less than your opinion at times.😲

I really hope GC can find room to keep playing him although I suspect he might well be benched in at least one of the next 2 against tough oppo (not what I’d do but just based on his approach so far). Obviously this was a cup game so we could go more attacking but I don’t think GC quite shares the same gung-ho attitude of his predecessor.
For all our lack of numbers at the back we now have a lot of players in form in midfield and up front so the new manager will have some tricky selections decisions to make.

What the point all you see is the goals there's more to highlights than that. bloody useless.
However the comments from some Port Vale fans are worth a read for a giggle!

Great save by Jamal at the end.

Just seen the footage of Darrell Clarke‘s 2 yards out of play comment
on Jay Stansfield setting up our first goal.
What is he talking about never out of play.

He did very well, caught his crosses and made some good saves. Came out quickly for their first goal, was just a good finish, and their second was pinball which he couldn’t do anything about. 9/10 from me.
Just watched their second goal again and Jamal slips on the mud just before their player shoots.

I think he's suggesting that Caprice's 50 yard ball curves out of play somewhere near the half way line before curving back in again.

He was also saying that Jay Stansfield was offside when Caprice struck the pass.

I think he's wrong on both counts.

2 claims made by them

One that the ball went out of play.
If it did it would have been whilst airborne and then swinging back to bounce inwards on contact - hard to judge from the TV angle.
If certainly doesn't go out at ground level.

The second that it was offside.
They might have a point there but no definitive answer from the highlights as the camera pans.
Ironically, it's because the lino is looking up checking the flight of the ball that he isn't checking Stanno's position a few yards inside their half.

Still, Stanno had to slip 2 defenders and then take the third out of the equation when setting up Jevani.

not sure they were in the right place to judge if our first was offside or not.

well done city. Glad we played our full side . Money in the bank and potentially one more win from a windfall. Home tie for round two please.
