Now safely converted to HF68
We have a nice run in on paper but unfortunately its on grass where it counts - the way the season has gone with everyone dropping points it is wide open still - going to the wire me think

I'd hope we'd get 12 points from our last 7 matches....think that might be enough..On the other hand, I have no idea.

Could be a fascinating final day. If as seems likely one of the teams currently in 8-11th places has a storming run then FGR -v-city coiuld be a shoot out for a guaranteed play off place.

Similarly the MKDons-v-Mansfield final day could be a shoot out for a guaranteed automatic spot.

(In each case the loser might get what they want depending on other results)

Slight correction. Final day Swindon play Notts, not Newport, County.

Next Tuesday will be very important in the games in hand. Not just City but also Newport- Swindon. Newport still in the running.if they win their other game in hand they would be ahead of Swindon having played the same number of games.

You need to add Newport to the list as well.

They could easily make the playoffs.

I will stick my neck out and dismiss the play-off chances of the following:
Carlisle
Colchester
Newport
Oldham
Crewe
Stevenage

The playoff teams will be
MKD or Tranny
Mansfield
FGR
City

I would imagine Wembley are hoping that it will not be a City v FGR final!! After the 84,000 plus crowd they've just had for the EFL final, this could well be the other end of the scale!! I wonder how many we would take if we get there again, and can't imagine FGR taking a huge following either.

Yep. I think only Carlisle might brink 15k + from the teams I mentioned above. But I think Wembley is not the best venue for the Div 2 playoffs... They should rotate around Stamford Bridge, Villa Park, Spurs new stadium etc. Lets face it, the aura of the old Wembley is not matched by the aura of the new one. It's no big deal to play at Wembley any more.
