Surprised they haven’t given more, at least half to the Fratton End? Surely there’s appetite for it
AIUI (which may not be entirely accurate), we had to get some in to the home end asap in order for the rail in the Milton End to be used due to a rule, somewhere.

There's a load more going in to the Fratton End - I think during an international break in October; I believe it will be about half way down. The rationale from the club is that Safety Advisory Groups are starting to get hotter on persistent standing in seated areas and are likely to start reducing capacities where this isn't addressed, so the club has bitten the bullet (something like 5/6 times more expensive to install one rail seat compared to a normal one).

There were plenty of windows serving food, and no queues. There were limited toilet facilities, but I've no idea if there was another set further along the back of the stand. Plenty of legroom when you sat down.
Cheers - good to hear on the food/queues. There's a temporary control box in operation on the south side of the stand - which will be permanently located on the other side once that has been rebuilt. I think some of that space is down to be converted to additional toilets, although I guess space is limited.

You're not expected to sit in them, IIRC
I think in some competitions you have to have all seated.

On Tuesday the area was split between a standing area and a seated area. Those in the seated area were still in the rail area.

Some people either prefer or can't stand for extended periods. Just a thought really but wonder if as these (rail seats) become more prevelant that the front say three rows could be allocated to those who need/wish to sit? Signs would need to be put in mind. Just seen Hants post above but that was news to me as there was no info that I was aware of?

I may be being a tad dim but there was no option to choose sit or stand - the allocation of a seat is just giving you a seat in a section? The computer doesn't know if I want to sit or stand. Perhaps I'm being whoosehed

You had an option when buying a ticket to go in the standing area or in the seated area.

Based on what? Screenshots from Google Earth, or did you commission a land surveyor to carry out a proper survey?
Ant,
Didn't you superimpose a 'swung' pitch on the present ground in one of your previous posts? Twas some years ago though, which shows how long it takes for pennies to drop these days!
