Loving the free flowing entertaining football at S
All very conveniently forgotten about by many Alan.
Or perhaps people aren't as happy to accept mediocrity anymore

2 minute hobble from the nearest pub. Or in it.
We went bust twice, were relegated from League One and were relegated to the Conference twice (saved on the first occasion by FL rules) between 1993 and 2003.

Then the Trust took over - and Tis for the past 8 years - and everything has been much, much better.

Proud to be a Grecian. Ashamed of some of you.
For real Mr Crockford?.

Come on where has that questioning, incisive, thinking gone?.

If it helps, Mr Tisdale has been a good manager,.........back along.

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Under Tisdale we were also relegated from league one, were not too far off relegation last season (safety only confirmed at full time on the 45th league game of the season) and about to go cap in hand to the PFA for the second time in six months had it not been for the Grimes money (goodness knows what financial state we'd be in now).

The warning signs are there that not all is rosey in the ECFC garden, so enough of the holier than thou stuff directed at those of us with concerns.

Without wanting to take the post off topic, but do you believe the 1931 fund has been wisely spent?

I'm not sure that can ever be answered honestly without the benefit of hindsight. I always thought the whole point of the 1931 fund was to enable the manager to take a punt on a player he didn't think he could allocate any of his playing budget to. This may or may not have produced the next Lionel Messi, you're never really sure when you first make the signing.

Of course that it hasn't so far doesn't mean the money's been wasted, at the time you never know whether a player's going to make it or not. This season's offering isn't making the impact most would have hoped, but that doesn't mean he won't, nor that anyone could say that that would be the case when he signed.

I think it's a nigh on impossible question to answer with a yes or no.
