Dave Allen at Large ran for 5 series(33 episodes) between 1971-79 the first couple of series were on BBC2.
A great relaxed comedy style sat in a leather chair smoking a fag, with what appeared to be whiskey in a glass beside him.
Some funny satirical sketches featuring the Catholic Church and some of the hypocrisy surrounding religion, which was rarely aired in those days.
Devised by the comedian Norman Vaughan who had earlier hosted another target based quiz show - The Golden Shot - for a couple of years.Monday 28th September 1981.
The first edition of Bullseye which ran for 15 series(354 episodes) with Comedian Jim Bowen(1937-2018) presenting.
Subsequent series were moved to a late Sunday afternoon slot.
