I appreciate Sam has been great for us, especially in the second half of last season, but I’m getting to the point now where unfortunately I think enough is enough.
As we have a limited budget and consequently a small-ish squad I don’t think we can continue to carry someone despite how good they are when they’re only (occasionally) available.
I’m afraid I don’t think we can continue to afford him when his contract ends.

Agree. But have you ever wondered why he plays for us? This reason, I’m sure he could play higher if he could play more than 20 games a season.
