I'm at Bridgwater United again today.
They're playing Bournemouth (who finished just above City in the league last season) in a friendly.
Bridgwater two up at halftime.

Finished as a resounding 4:0 win for the home team.
A popular score line this weekend 🙂

Another enjoyable evening at Bridgwater United WFC watching their final pre-season friendly.
They played against an Arsenal 11, but no Lionesses were on view though.
I spoke with one of the Arsenal player’s father. He said their side was mostly made up of 17, 16 and 15 year olds.
They moved the ball well, as you’d expect, and a couple of them looked particularly good to me.
I didn’t catch any of their names but it’ll interesting to see how some of them progress.
Match ended one nil to the Gunners.

After a nice day wandering around Muchelney Abbey, Montacute House and Ham Hill I wasn’t able to get to Bridgwater United’s league match this evening against Argyle.
But I’m pleased to report that Bridgwater won 3:0.

Spurs v Man City live on Sky in the WSL and I've seen more people watching Winkleigh on a wet Saturday afternoon in January. And people wonder why the WSL isn't taken seriously???

Not sure about today yet, but last week Spurs v Liverpool got 2,105 at Brisbane Road. Has Winkleigh had some ground improvements since I was last there 🙂.

I can only go by what I'm seeing on the TV but there is next to nobody there and absolutely no atmosphere otherwise to suggest I'm missing something off camera.

The newer, largish stand is on the "camara" side of the ground and that seems to be where the bulk of the crowd is.

With ticket prices of £7 for adults and £3.50 for concessions the crowd was 1,888.

Womens World Cup (Oz and NZ) tickets go on general sale from the 25th of October. They have only been on sale as packages so far. Looking forward to getting tickets for the England games and maybe an Oz game as well
