Yep, It was a platonic friendship with the waiter(Ronald Goldman) They were aquatinted. Not partners.
OJ was a very possessive man, as well as a documented ‘wife abuser’ He frequently spied on his ex wife through the windows if she took anyone back to her house.
In the documentary I mentioned, some of his closest friends said they knew he was guilty.

I was in LA when the not guilty verdict came in, widespread shock & a bit of relief because parts of the city were a tinderbox after the race riots following the Rodney King saga. No one knew what would happen if a guilty verdict was announced. Simpson was a hero to many in the black community.
Simpson went to a fancy restaurant a few days after his acquittal, all of the diners walked out.
It was pretty simple.

The defense did a great job with the jury selection. They fought tooth and nail to ensure the jury ended up majority black. Once that was in the bag, 'not guilty' was a formality. The trial was a waste of time.

Unlimited research ability & money to discredit key witnesses plus a fcku up by the DA over the infamous glove wearing in court.

Rather like Ken Dodd getting his trial for alleged tax evasion moved to Liverpool and getting preposterous not guilty verdicts. No Liverpool jury was going to convict Doddy.

His loot was all under the floorboards of his house iirc.

I remember Ken Dodd as a contestant on Blankety Blank when Les Dawson was host. Dawson brought the house down when he mimicked Dodd tearing up floorboards 🤣. Ken Dodd was also crying with laughter.

Should have moved it to South Yorkshire?
But, to be fair to the Doddy-Man, under cross-examination he did promise to tell the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth.
