Train is easy. Exeter St Davids / Central to Clapham Junction then change and few stops back to Norbiton on the Kingston line. It's a 10 mimute walk from there. No planned engineering works as it stands.

Pubs are hit and miss locally, although the club bar is massive and welcoming. I think most travellers drink in Clapham and then travel back, or Kingston and walk (30 mins) / get the bus.

Worst part is the actual view. Ground is compact and aside from 100 or so seats, the away section consists of a partially covered terrace running behind the dugouts from the half-way line to the corner flag. It is very shallow and lots of pillars. "Facilities" are a few portaloos and mobile burger van.
Cheers Red, the lads looking forward to this, will be is 43rd ground (y)

Bit early I know, but thinking of doing this one with the lad on the train.

Is it easy to get there by train? Is it a good day out, with decent pubs?
Trains looking ££ on the heavy side.. If anyone's thinking of driving and want 3 paying passengers in Exeter let me know.

If going by South West Trains, then if you break the journey you can reduce the ticket cost, e.g. Central to Woking, Woking to Clapham Junction, and Clapham Junction to Norwood. Find 2 or 3 to go with you then you can get the cost reduced further by use of a GroupSave3 or 4.

Not up there in terms of favourite aways, view not great, and that freak rain storm last year has probably contributed to my negativity, that said will probably go anyway......."interesting" pub with blacked out windows fairly near the ground...
