I know it's stating the obvious, but we languish a league below...so your logic probably doesn't stand scrutiny at the moment
Only by chance had the lockdown come earlier or perhaps later after we had the chance to balance up the fixtures, immediately prior to lockdown we had a run of three difficult games while Plymouth had one of three relatively easy ones and the next three games for each of us were the other way round, it would have been ourselves promoted and not them. Remember also throughout the season they had only been above us for one week and unfortunately for us it happened to be the week before lockdown

We only played them once last season and won 4-0.

Returning to the subject of this thread there seem to be various rumours on social media but little concrete news in the media generally which, if Ollie is indeed in such high demand, I find surprising.

He had a brilliant season last season winning the award that he did but fundamentally that is only one season and he is totally untried at PL level which leads me to think that the top Clubs may perhaps be a little reluctant to risk spending the amount of money Brentford are asking.

However the opposite case would be Neal Maupay, who went from Brentford to Brighton and scored 10 in 37, which is not a bad haul for a new player in the PL in a struggling team.

A very comprehensive win although had not Aaron Martin timed his tackle, a tackle which the pillocks on Radio Devon incorrectly credited to Parkes.....an error which they never rectified, so brilliantly on Joel Grant who was about to slot the ball home into an open net, it might have been a little less comprehensive.

If Jake hadn't hit a poor back pass Joel wouldn't have had the chance, if my auntie had....

Yes we were done a kipper alright but if we’d had a proven goalscorer up front it wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

So guess they’re setting it that high to counter the low offers ( Aston Villa and their reputed 18M etc*)
and in the end get the 25M average they wanted in the first place.
* Funny how that sum kept coming up with that release clause business where did that come from?
Be nice when this no mans land of no concrete offers is finished and we can get our money
