Pretty sure it was Spike, in an episode of "Q". As he was born in India he could get away in those days with dressing up as an India guru. Not PC nowadays, of course, and even at the time he was regarded as pretty near the bone as he made jokes about anybody and everybody, with no regard to such trivial considerations as good taste.... Amazing that the BBC let him do so many series of "Q".
