It would also be good to have a separate option for drawing a c0ck and balls on the ballot paper. Doesn’t seem right that that very clear message to all candidates should also be included in Other.

I don’t think this thread has been fully thought through.
FBH has gone all Trump on us.

To undermine the poll is to undermine Exeweb's democracy.

First they came for the DUP supporters
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a DUP supporter

Then they came for Orkney Island Independence League supporters
And I did not speak out
Because I was not an Orkney Island Independence League supporter

And then they came for supporters of Mrs Miggins who is standing as an Independent in Sunderland South to campaign for better street lighting
And there was nobody left to speak out for us.

I hope Exeweb has scrapped the ridiculous "first past the post" system, and this is a proper democratic election.

So Labour may be winning, but it's no landslide. They need coalition partners to get a majority. Who to choose?

They'd have too many fights with the Greens, so it looks like the Lib Dems, still awkward (Lab-Con would be a love marriage nowadays, but that doesn't even deliver a majority).

Best bet: Monster Raving Scottish Nationalists.

As of yet I haven't seen a list of parties standing in Exeter but my vote will probably be tactical to make sure a certain Party doesn't get back in

I've seen my first garden placard thing. "Winning Here" 😂. You guess which party and of course they have no chance in Tory heartland.

There has been a lot in the press this week about D:Ream refusing to let Labour use their song again this time round by I do wonder if Sunak has approached Jimmy Page and Robert. Plant for permission to use "Going To California" as his campaign anthem?

Can't help noticing that, in the last 24 hours the Conservative vote has actually DROPPED from 3 to 2.
Is vote switching being allowed?
Should ExeWeb Voter ID be made mandatory?
Are the mods using the Dominion Systems in this plebiscite?
We DESERVE to be told.

Snapshot at the end of week 1 of the campaign.

Labour edging it from the Lib Dems in the battle to represent the constituency of Exeweb in Parliament from 5th July. Greens in 3rd place, with a scattering of votes amongst some of the fringe parties.

And a big fat zero for the Tories.

I wonder what the swingometer will show after the second week of campaigning....
This week's snapshot:

IMG_2183.png

Change from last week:

Conservatives +2 (+5.4pps)
Green Party +/- (-5.5pps)
Labour +8 (+6.8pps)
Liberal Democrats +1 (-8.4pps)
Reform +1 (+0.9pps)
Workers Party Of Britain +1 (+2.7pps)
Monster Raving Loony Party +/- (-3.7pps)
SNP +1 (+0.9pps)
Plaid Cymru +/-
Other +1 (+0.9pps)

15 votes added in total

Labour the big winner again this week, increasing their vote share by nearly 7 percentage points to a whopping 43.2%.

Interestingly, the Labour vote share is pretty much in line with the latest MRP Poll, which has Labour at 46% nationally https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/blogs/ec_vipoll_20240531.html

The Tories are now off the mark, tied in 4th place with Plaid Cyrmu, Reform, Monster Raving Loonies and 'other' on 5.4% of the vote share.

Vote switching is absolutely allowed. We want to see the effect of the terrible campaigning in real time 👍
