This window is even bigger than last summer's IMO. It's another summer where there's potentially going to be a massive churn of players.

Just when it's looking like we've hit on a winning formula in our midfield area, Harris will be back off to Fulham, Woods back off to Hull and both maybe off somewhere else... maybe back here but it seems unlikely. Carroll is out of contract. Will he be here? Mitchell will be back fit but will he be here? My money is on him rocking up at Stockport.

Then of course we still need those elusive number 9s. Having failed so spectacularly last summer and still not got it right in January the pressure really is on to get it right.

And we need to find another keeper as competent as Sinisalo.

According to the journo O’Rourke who called a few of our transfers correctly, we were bidding significant sums for Presley at Stevenage. Assuming that’s true, hopefully we will still have similar funds this summer.

Plenty of good players out there and as Ian says, often we sign players whom have never been mentioned on here. That said, wouldn’t say no to Will Evans!

There will be plenty of players looking for clubs who’ve been let go from Championship or even the Prem. And of course, we’ll undoubtedly look north of the border too.

Either way, I suspect we’ll see 10-12 players come in this summer. Loans will be later in the window, as per last summer. Wonder how many pages this thread will get to!?!

Why? We’ve got two strikers at present, one is a raw academy product, the other is of the type you propose. Do you think having three inexperienced strikers in league 1 is the way to go?
Read it again pal, Conn-Clarke is midfielder.

A very good one at that, but from memory he loves it in the North West. So again location perhaps an issue? Sigh.

Think you might be mixing him up with someone else? Cole Stockton perhaps?

Conn-Clarke is from Northern Ireland and first moved to Burnley in 2018 as a 16 year old. His whole career so far has been in the NW but he's only 22.

You could understand a 22 year old loving some of the north West- Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool. But Burnley?

Yes, fair enough although he is a very advanced midfielder. Compare him with Reece Cole. Conn-Clarke definitely a no10. Could be a permanent Harris replacement?
