Exactly right; but just driving in to have someone park your car while your party is escorted to a table on the terrace. That really is something to remember.

National Trust places always good if a little pricey. Had good ones at Killerton & Drogo castle. I make a mean scone. love a diy cream tea somewhere int he middle of dartmoor

Banwell Castle near Weston Super Mare. A lovely Victorian folly .. serving incredible cream teas (scones to die for) on a garden terrace over looking the Axe valley. Peacocks & magnolia trees in abundance ...
